Today marks an important milestone for The Hemingway Post…this is the 100th email sent out!

It’s been a blessing to start and grow this platform with all of you. This week, I wanted to reflect on how far we’ve come and what we’ve accomplished together. I’ve decided to write without any revision, simply speaking from the heart. For something like this, it isn’t about the quality of the writing, rather the meaning behind it:

Whether covering topics like accountability, momentum, focus, or faith, The Hemingway Post has been an outlet for me to write freely. My goal has always been to be as authentic as possible, and I think I’ve done quite a good job at that.

As I read back on my earlier posts, it’s safe to say that I’ve come a long way in my writing. Because of THP, I’m better able to express my ideas and clearly present my thoughts.

No matter the skill of my writing, I have always strived to add value to your lives each and every week. Whether it’s adopting an overarching theme of life or implementing a small practical tip, progress is progress.

You know, most of the time, I’m writing to myself when I write The Hemingway Post. I’m convicted about something that week and want to share my own experience in the hopes that it will help someone else out too. I hope I have succeeded in that.

Looking back, I now realize that I would write the Hemingway Post if only one person read it each week. Heck, I would write it if no one did. There are no immense tangible benefits of continuing this newsletter, but I don’t do it for that. I do it out of love for you.

It may sound cringey to say, but I want to help others, and this is a great avenue to do that. Again, I hope I have succeeded.

Above all, I thank God and the Lord Jesus for the blessing that you have all been to me these past couple of years. Many times, I’ve forgotten that. Many times, I haven’t written my best work each week. But I’ve always tried to stay disciplined and remember why I’m writing this in the first place.

Here is the message of The Hemingway Post: You are loved. You are enough. And as always:

Keep making progress. Change for the better. Live the Heming-way.

God bless,

Trevor
