Simplicity
Last week, I stumbled across a video that said this:
“Don’t analyze life more than you live it.”
It’s a bit ironic considering this newsletter consists of me analyzing things (my life, truths, lessons, etc.), but I think it’s a reminder I need to hear.
Although introspection, analysis, and contemplation are important and beneficial, I’ve let them take over. It doesn’t always have to be complicated. I can just be content to experience life as it comes without excessive thoughts.
I think of kids playing on the playground with no other care except what’s in front them. No deeper meanings or complicated realities; just focusing on the present.
But as we get older, life gets far more complicated. But joy is often found in the simple things.
I’ll end with a quote I’ve heard years ago but have only recently come to appreciate:
“Life is not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced.” — Kierkegaard
I’m going to try and live life more than I analyze it.
Grow in His grace. Be shaped by His hands. Walk the everlasting way.
God Bless,
Trevor
